SCADA·Wiz

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

SCADA Wiz (scadawiz.com) is a set of free browser-based calculators for control systems and SCADA engineers. This page explains what data is collected when you use it.

Your calculator inputs stay on your device

Every value you enter — signal ranges, register addresses, subnet masks, hex traces, uploaded pcap files, and so on — is processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. None of it is sent to, or stored on, our servers. That's true even for the DNP3 trace and pcap decoders: file parsing happens locally, and nothing is uploaded.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people use the site and roughly how they use it: pages viewed, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and referring site. This is aggregate usage data, not your calculator inputs or uploaded files.

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can opt out using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on, or by blocking cookies/scripts in your browser's privacy settings.

Cookies, in short

Data sharing

We don't sell or share your data with anyone. The only third party involved is Google (Analytics), which processes data under its own privacy terms. If we introduce advertising in future, this page will be updated first.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
