A deadband is how much a signal must change before the device reports a new value. The catch is that a setting of 5 means different things on different devices: on a percent device it is 5% of span, on a raw-value device it is 5 counts. Enter your raw and engineering ranges, the deadband setting and its type, and the calculator shows the required change in both raw and engineering units.
